How many people under 25-years-old have driven a new Ford 2020 Mustang? I don’t think I need a questionnaire to know that the answer is not many.
I’m Mason, 21 years old and the Customer Relationship Coordinator at South Auckland Motors. I’ve been here since November 2018 and help with marketing and customer retention.
On Friday 19th June I somehow managed to convince Mel (Ford Sales Manager) to let me take the Mustang for a drive to create some exposure in hope to find a new owner. The only downside is I promised to write a review about it so, unfortunately, now I actually have to do some work.
Enough rambling, let’s get to the car… where do I begin!? The initial startup was enough satisfaction for me and I could have happily gone back to my office after that. I only drove it 15 minutes down the road to a beautiful lookout spot off Redoubt road, but what an exhilarating drive.
Unfortunately (or fortunately for the sake of my job and insurance) the speed limit for the entire journey is 60 so I did not push the car to its limits, or anywhere close to be honest. Driving the car to about 1/10th of its capability had me nonstop grinning until I slept that night, I might have to work on my persuasion skills and take it to Hampton Downs...
The Need for Green paint job complimented the exhaust as drivers were straining their necks just to get a quick glimpse of the fine machinery. The Mustang was surprisingly comfortable, I assumed I was going to be squished on firm seats, but I was wrong, it was luxurious. With these seats alongside the comfort driving mode and impressive speakers I could definitely see myself taking this on a road trip *wink* *wink*.
