Ford COVID-19 Announcement

22/04/2020

With the New Zealand Government announcing that we will be moving to Alert Level 3 on April 28th, we wanted to update you on what we’re doing in order to continue looking after your needs during this time. Although our dealers won’t be fully open, we will have contactless servicing, sales and test drive options available for you. When visiting us you can rest assured that we’ve put in place strict controls and rules around sanitation and contact tracing to keep you and our staff as safe as possible.

Below is some more information about what we’re doing to help during this time:

  • Ford in the Community:
    • We’ve provided The Auckland City Mission with Ford Transits in order to help them deliver food parcels to the community, as demand and need for these parcels have doubled in the past week alone.
    • Our charity partner of 30 years, Variety the Children’s Charity, is also seeing a spike in demand from the community. With their major fundraiser, Variety of Chefs, sadly being cancelled this year, we’ve re-directed the sponsorship funds, which would normally go towards helping host the event, to their general needs account.
  • Peace of Mind – During this period of uncertainty, we want to offer you peace of mind when you buy a New Ford Vehicle. That’s why we are pleased to launch the Peace Of Mind promotion on selected Cars and Commercial Vehicles.
    • Ford will pay for the first 3 months of your loan*
    • You can apply to defer payments for an additional 3 month at the point of establishment of your contract*
  • Sanitisation - Key touchpoints in vehicles will be sanitised after a service visit or test drive. Dealers will use recommended cleaning products and procedures to help ensure that all vehicles are clean and safe when returned to customers. Click here to check out our full sanitation process for servicing.
  • Social Distancing - Even with the change to alert Level 3, we are very conscious of the ongoing risk of COVID-19 to the public. As such, our dealer staff who need to be at work to do their jobs will be practicing social distancing in dealerships and interaction with customers will be on-line or contactless.
  • Contact Tracing - We will collect contact details from all visitors in line with contact tracing guidelines. We will then store that information in a centralised contact register.

Our Customer Care Hotline and Social Media channels are being staffed 7 days a week to ensure we can respond to all of your inquiries and concerns. Please feel free to reach out to us either by calling 0800 FORD NZ, by emailing us at [email protected], or via our Social Media channel – Ford NZ Facebook.

*Ford contribution is for the first three standard monthly principal and interest payments only based on a 5 year term and an interest rate of 6.95% p.a. fixed for the term of the loan, subject to a maximum monthly contribution by Ford of $2,750 - $4,560 depending on model purchased (excluding fees and on road costs). Offer is not applicable with any other discounted offers and is available at participating dealers while stocks last.

If you choose to defer payments for an additional 3 months, you must still repay the full amount of the loan. The total loan repayments will be spread over the remaining term of the loan (following both the 3 months’ Ford contribution and the 3 months’ deferred payment period). Interest will still accrue during the 3 months’ deferred payment period and unpaid interest will be added to, and form part of, the loan.

This finance offer is available from 28 April 2020 to 30 June 2020 on vehicles financed through UDC Finance Limited. A $105 UDC establishment fee, a dealer origination fee, a PPSR fee of $10.35 each apply and must be paid up-front. UDC Finance Limited lending criteria and terms and conditions apply to any loan.
